Any competent developer can write the API. The hard part is the research behind it — verified currency, tax, payment and FX data for 197 markets. That is what we build.
Geolocation is solved. Turning an IP into a country is a commodity, and it is not the hard part of selling across borders. The hard part is everything that follows — how many decimal places a currency has, where the symbol sits, what tax applies and whether it is already in the price, which payment methods people will actually complete a purchase with, and what today's exchange rate is from a source you can name.
That is research, not engineering, which is exactly why so few products do it well. We verified every one of 197 country profiles against ICU/CLDR, national tax authorities and payment-provider documentation, then wired an automated test that re-derives the formatting on every build so a stale convention breaks the build instead of quietly shipping a wrong charge.
Where a source is thin, we say so instead of inventing a number. FX comes straight from central banks. Sanctions flags are a coarse overlay that layers on top of your own screening, never a substitute for it. Honesty about the limits of the data is part of the product.

Why should I trust the data?
